「TORYS」(托利斯) 作為一款的三得利威士忌，誕生於1946年。20世紀50-60年代，隨著在日本全國範圍內掀起的「托利斯酒吧」熱潮的發展，托利斯威士忌以嗨棒的形式大為流行，使當時日本消費者不太熟悉的威士忌成為了人們經常飲用的酒類。從這個意義上來說，托利斯是奠定日本進口酒文化基礎的歷史性的品牌。
